The Breville Juice Fountain Elite deserves an objective review. I’ll do my best to provide that, but in the interest of full-dislcosure: The 800jexl is probably my favorite juicer. With it’s speed, efficiency, size, and my love of juice, it may be my favorite piece of kitchen equiptment overall.

The Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800jexl is a robust machine that has been converting even the most harcore masticating juicer enthusiasts. It features a large feed chute, enabling you to use more whole fruits and vegetables, and cutting down on your prep time. The machine easily handles these whole foods thanks to its 1000-watt motor. Thats 1 and 1/3 horsepower, folks. It can make a liter of fresh juice in about a minute.

It also has a built in “smart chip” that regulates the power to the blades, creating a very efficient system. It has 2 speeds-high(13,000 RPM), and low(6, 500 RPM).

The Breville 800jexl is built to last, with die-cast steel housing, a stainless steel micromesh filter, and a titanium plated cutting disc.

Breville includes with the Juice Fountain Elite a pulp container, a 34 ounce(1 liter) juicing pitcher, and a user manual that includes recipes.

With a motor this size, noise can be a drawback. It is loud. I mean it. This is NOT a quiet machine.

I’ve already mentioned the wonderfully large feed chute. The chute measures 7 inches tall, with a diameter of 3 inches. More than enough for quick juicing.

The entire unit is 17 by 11 by 20 inches, and weighs in at just under 21 pounds.

Pros:
The Breville 800jexl assembles and disassembles very quickly-no screws or tools needed. The pieces fit easily in a dishwasher. It’s also a beautiful machine. Sleek and modern, there was obviously some thought put into the aesthetics of the design, on top of the practical concerns.

The biggest “pro” for this unit has to be the speed. It makes a liter of juice in about one minute.

Cleanup is simple and quick, as is prep.

Although I’ve never had call to check for myself, it’s been reported that Breville has excellent customer service, and they do offer a 3 year waranty.

 

Cons:
The machine is noisy. The huge motor sounds like a huge motor.

With certain high-moisture products(tomatoes and melons come to mind), you may notice some juice leaking from the plastic juice cover. This is due to the rapidity of the blades. Slowing down the motor, and the speed that you are pushing with should stop this from happening.

Summary:

Once again, I think this is my favorite juicer. The Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800jexl is so efficient, and so feature rich, that it has earned a place of honor on my counter top. If you’re serious about juicing as a long term habit, then this is the one.
